Twitter has become a social phenomenon that is used each day all over the world. It is a social network but is almost like blogging but simpler. With blogs they are usually long and contain lots of pictures but with twitter you are limited to 140 characters per tweet and mostly your only picture is your profile picture. You are allowed to upload a picture as a tweet but it doesn’t just sit there as in a blog. Twitter is designed for people to put updates instantly and people normally write about what they are feeling or even put up links to websites concerning their business ventures and so forth. Twitter has also become a valuable asset in ways for companies to connect with their customers. They can post advertisements, contest, all ways to show that they care about the customers and increase business profits.
It’s easy to set up a twitter account and it is free. Twitter is also accessible anywhere and there are so many cool applications of mobile devices which makes it that much easier. The nature of twitter revolves around having followers and tweeting. It is easy to find users from all over and follow and to retweet and tweet each other, which is how you have a conversation.
