I choose colour lovers but that is just a small piece of the bigger puzzle. Twitter was my main focus.It is among one of the fastest growing networks out. I've had twitter for a little bit and I have seen in numerous occasions how important it actually is for our society.Many people think twitter is for making friends and chatting but it is more to it. Numerous people have a twitter and it works great for quick responses or news updates. Twitter is short, and sweet straight to the point because of the 140 character limit.This allows updates to be a quick read rather then trying to read an article length of information. More and more companies like subway,zappos etc are using twitter as a way to respond to customer queries. Market researchers use it to get the scope on minute to minute trends. Its a huge marketing tool and information tool.
We recently experienced Hurricane Irene, and twitter was very helpful. Many people lost power so being able to get update tweets on their phones was very helpful. News programs were able to give updates about where the storm was and where it was heading and other very valid information. Also, in San Diego there was a city blackout, and SDGE was able to communicate with a lot of people as to when the electricity was going to be in stored. Its nothing like experienceing something like these two and having no idea what to do or whats going on.
Colour Lovers on the other hand is a way to design your page and give it your own personal touch. It allows your personality to come out a little bit and show people the type of things you like. In some cases, you can tell what kind of personality someone has by their background. Something so simple can mean so much to people who know you and dont know you !
