Soup Blog Program

Blogs have become increasingly popular over the past years. The name given from the combination of "web logs", most blogs have a similar basic outline. Anyone with an interest they would like to write about can create a blog. Many authors just use their blog as a diary, somewhere to write down their thoughts and ideas if they'd like to share them with the world. Other blogs usually focus on a specific topic, such as a sports team, or sports in one area of the country. You will also find blogs about anything involved in the entertainment industry such as celebrity gossip, movies, musics, theatre, and more. Sometimes the author is someone working in the industry and has sorts of insider information that they put up before any of the major news outlets can get a hold of it. If the topic is interesting and the quality of content is high, most blogs develop a set of avid followers and readers.

There are many different programs out there that serve as a template or outline to those who want to create a blog. Soup is one of them. Like this Blogger website, Soup is fairly basic and easy to use, although has some more appealing options. Soup makes anyone's blog layout easy to change, in design and color. You are able to order blog posts how you like, in chronological order, ascending or descending. You can add links, photos and pictures, videos and audio files, like most other blog programs. Another cool thing is that you can create a calendar of events through the schedule feature. You are able to create customized views for your friends, so that certain people and groups could see different things. If you want some information on your blog to be visible to only a small group of people and hidden to everyone else, you can do that. This is vital because you may put up some things while wanting to maintain a certain level of privacy to most. One more function that puts Soup apart from other blogging formats is that if you find something on the internet that you like, you can immediately put it onto your blog. You won't have to go to your blog, click "create new entry", and copy and paste the link. Soup is always working so you can just add a toolbar to your browser and click something, hit "add to Soup Blog" and it will automatically become the most recent post on your blog.

All of these functions of Soup are extremely helpful to those who use it. Many people want their voices heard, but don't have the ability to use or desire to learn how to program a website. Markup languages can be a pain to figure out, and programs like Soup skip that step. It puts everything in one place, and makes it easy for an uninformed computer user to create their own content and publish it for the world to see.
