FileSocial for Twitter

Over 200 million people around the world today are using the social network called Twitter. Twitter is known as a text based microblogging service that allows users to "tweet" their thoughts throughout the day. Many famous actors, athletes and public figures are known to use Twitter. Twitter is easily becoming one of the most popular social network sites in the world today.

The tool I chose is FileSocial for Twitter. This tool allows Twitter users to upload any kind of file, not just text based. This can include any where from videos and songs to PDF files and Power points. This is definitely a great tool for Twitter users because it further expands the limits to Twitter. Users can now share any video or song with their followers with the help of FileSocial. All you have to do is login to Twitter attach whatever file you want, add a few comments about it and a link will be posted right on your Twitter in a matter of seconds. There is no need to type your username or password every time you add a file which makes this that much easier to use. I think this is very important because it provides an easy way to spread any type of media file to your followers. I know many famous actors and athletes who post up things like their favorite songs or viral videos on Twitter. As a Twitter user myself, I know how much FileSocial could help to easily upload these files.

This app along with Twitter is part of Web 2.0 because it allows people to log on with a user name and input their own content. It also allows participants to share any information they wish. Twitter has always allowed users to post any thoughts they had but with the help of FileSocial almost any kind of information can be spread using videos or music. Twitter can also be part of Web 3.0 because many people, including myself, have Twitter installed on their cell phones and iPads which allows them to Tweet even when they are away from the computer. Some athletes have even been caught tweeting on the field during a game! This does result in a fine and tweeting has recently been banned from being used 90 minutes before and after games in the NFL. Twitter has and will continue to make a tremendous impact on our social world.
