Tumblr is a newly created website that allows users to post texts, images, videos, links, photos, quotes, audio to their short form-blog. Tumblr uses can follow other users or they could make their Tumblr private.
Tumblr can be used from different mobile devices, as well as, laptops and comptuers. I have never used Tumblr but I know that a lot of my friends use this App. It is a way for close friends to stay in touch with each other, as well as, people trying to meet new people. Being that Tumblr has become such a popular phase for Internet users, there were more Apps created just for Tumblr alone. Theres Tumbltape, an App that turns your audio files into a music playlist. Hellotxt lets you post anything on Tumblr from audio files to video and photo updates. Blip.fm is helpful because it allows users to add music content to their files. Tumbleweed is an app that allows users to post directly to all of the categories that are found available on Tumblr. TumblrPost is an app that allows users to post quotes, photos, videos, and audio with a single dag and drop to users Tumblr icon on the statusbar. This app is also a Firefox add on. There are countless other apps that have been created just to enhance the use of te Tunblr app.
A lot of college students in the area I live in, like to use the Tumblr app. I guess they like the fact that they can blog and post quotes and photos whenever they want to. Tumblr is just another way or source of using the Internet to get people to interact with each other.
