Composica

Composica is a social e-learning authoring system that offers real-time collaboration among team members. Composica is great for a work environment where team members cannot meet n face to face situations. Besides this Composica is 100 percent free to its users, therefore making it one less thing a company has to worry about paying for. To describe Composica easily, it is basically Microsoft Power Point but used throughout the internet. It allows the users to create and deliver a high-quality interactive e-learning 2.0 content with embedded social media. When using Composica, it provides social authoring with project presentations. One can comment on the presentation. It allows RSS feeds with a chat option as well as a tagging option. The program is very easy to use and is meant for a team oriented project. Composica is a unique type of presentation tool due to being able to be quickly edited. It is highly interactive by being able to add multi choice responses, drag and drop function, fill- in, hot spots and several other customizable interactions. Lastly, most of all for a work environment it is very direct and easy.

Composica can have a very positive effect in a work environment. This is because you can quickly set up one presentation that the employees can quickly access. Once on the presentation the employee’s can discuss the current project that they are working on. By being able to edit the post quickly the employees can correct and change the document. By being able to be used anywhere it allows the employees to meet online at anytime. Also this can allow the employees to meet online at different times and alter the presentation. By being able to be used at anyone’s convenience it allows the group members to work on it when they are available.

Overall this is a great program that employees can use when working on a group presentation that needs to be pitched to anyone at the office. Lastly as long as everyone uses a secure password and doesn’t provide that information to other than the presentation can be secured. Don’t give anyone else your password and the presentation information should remain with only the group involved. This is because if the presentation is saved it cannot be recovered. This is a feature they are currently working on to prevent problems from happening to presentations. So, after editing the presentation you should also save it on your computer as a backup. Overall this program is great for making presentations over the internet.
