Group Me

 

There is this really neat app for phones called Group Me. I personally use this app all of the time because it’s great for group communication. Once going onto your phone to your “store” all you have to do is search “Group Me” and it will show up in your selections, the best part is it’s free. Once having downloaded “Group Me” onto your phone you can select people from your contacts or create new contacts to put into your group. Once this group is made you can send messages much like a text to everyone in the group who will then receive the message and be able to respond with a message that will be seen by everyone in the group. Once new messages are received there will be a “Group Me” notification that will show up on your phone letting you know you have a new message.

            The App is not necessary to download for everyone in the group, which works well incase everyone does not have a smart phone. If you do not have the app all group messages will come through as mass text message, messages. The only downfall to this is your phone will constantly alert you every time you have a new text rather than just the one time the app would notify you that you have new messages. If the group is having a discussion and you don’t have the app it’s possible for you to have 86 new text messages for example. This is an easy solve though, just download the app!

            I know a lot of people who use this app for class group work, outside of school clubs, even a family could use this app to stay in touch with each other. “Group Me” makes group communication a lot easier.
